Memory to go

My kids love to play memory and so do I. It is a simple game that they can sit and enjoy for at least 20 minutes. I was organizing my paper today and got a great idea to use my little scrap pieces and make them an on the go memory game. Here is a little tutorial for you to recreate! This would make a great gift or even party favor.

PhotobucketFirst I started off with a sheet of Stampin Up card stock. This is going to be used for the base of the cards.

PhotobucketI cut each piece at 2 1/4 by 2 1/4

PhotobucketI cut strips of paper and then cut each strip into boxes. This made cutting alot faster and easier.

PhotobucketI then used my scallop circle punch and cut out scrap pieces of designer paper I had.

PhotobucketI decided to add even more to the cards and used my circle punch to punch out white pieces of card stock and then stamped a girl, dog, cat, boy and baby using the All in the Family stamp set.

PhotobucketAfter I had secured all the pieces, I used my many marvelous markers to give my images some color.

PhotobucketA close up of the little girl.

PhotobucketOn the backs of the cards I stamped each piece using a stamp from Good friends to the back of each card.

PhotobucketI secured everything into a travel case for on the go fun!!!

A Custom Creation

My up line's birthday is coming up and I wanted to make her a little something. I decided to make her a travel case for her Stampin up markers. The case holds 18 markers and can be rolled up for ease in traveling with it. This way she can keep track of all her markers at Stampin clubs. I just love how it came out and cannot wait for her to receive it!

The Medallion

I just received the Medallion stamp and am loving it!!! It definitely is my favorite stamp that Stampin Up makes! Yesterday I put together this simple card. I started with chocolate chip card stock for the base of the card. I stamped the Medallion with chocolate chip ink onto very vanilla card stock. I colored in the detail with a real red marker and placed a red corduroy brad into the centered of the medallion. I added a little saying to the inside. This is a very simple but elegant card.

Welcome Little One

I LOVE this card! It is the perfect card to welcome the newest addition into the family. It was so easy and would look amazing framed on a nursery dresser!
This card was created using SU Regal rose card stock . To make the border I used SU white card stock using a scallop punch. I embellished the card with 2 SU corduroy brads. I LOVE these brads!

I caught the SU bug!

I caught the SU Bug! I have been stampin for a few months after a friend invited me to join her stamping club. I loved it from the very first workshop but didn't get into it as much at home because I had just had Lilly and we had also just moved into a new home. Last week it was my turn to be hostess and I really feel in love. I love the new clear stamps and the big shot which my amazing husband purchased for me as my Christmas present!!! After everyone left I got all of my stamping things out and created for hours. I love creativity and stamping can bring so much to a card. I fell in love with the heat tool and have embossed almost every card I have made in some way or another- lol. A few days ago I decided to sign up as a demostrater. I love the world of art and this feels like a perfect fit for me. I have actively been a creative artist for many years sewing, painting, scrapbooking, jewelry making...... I have so many ideas and cannot wait for my starter kit to arrive! I would love to mesh my creativity into the world of Stamping to make some amazing art!
